Ford Repair: Airbag light, correct slot, short circuits

Question
Hi i was removing fuzes checking for a battery drew after checking i started my 1996 bronco and the airbag light blinks can you help thank you frank.

Answer
Hi Frank,
The airbag light flashes when the system is'nt powered up properly or has a major current fault. My best guess is that you removed the fuse for the airbag and put it back in the wrong slot or something to that effect. I hope that you were'nt removing fuses with the key in the "run" position, because you can cause short circuits in electronic modules from the arc when contact is made and broken, or can burn the fuse out in the same way. Re-check the fuse and that it is reinstalled in the correct slot. If everything in that department is OK, it is very possible that you could have damaged the control module for the airbag, however unlikey. Good luck, and I hope this helps!
