Ford Repair: Ford Mustang, o reilly auto parts, o reilly auto

Question
I have a 1998 Mustang & I went to start it one morning & the theft light came on & was blinking.  It would turn over but I would never actually start. We checked the battery cables & they were fine.  Please help.

Answer
Rina, You say the "left light was blinking."  Does that mean that you left the lights on all night long?  If you did then you might need to charge the battery.  Now, assuming the battery is fine, will the car turn over very well?  Do you have a "check engine" light on?  If you do, you can rent a code reader from O'Reilly Auto Parts, just leave a check, go home and read the code, and take it back and get your check.  If you don't have a check engine light coming on, let me know.  I hope this helps,   Jason
