Ford Repair: Ford escort Problems, o reilly auto parts, o reilly auto

Question
I have a 1997 ford escort osprey,it recently cut out on me at a set of traffic lights, and now it has died, battery is full charged and working, petrol is getting to the engine no problems at all, spark plugs are sparking, everything seems okay, starter motor is working, but the car will not start,i have no idea what the problem is,ive checkd the basic general things, but cant see anything wrong, the engine sounds like it is turning over fine, but is not firing, the car is not even trying to start.Any idea what i could try?or what it could be?

Answer
Jason, you say the plugs are getting electricity?  And the engine is getting fuel?  If both of these things are happening, then there is very little that it could be.  Now, do you have a check engine light on?  If you do, then go to O'Reilly Auto Parts, give them a check, borrow their code reader, read the code, take it back and get your check.  This might help you find out what is going on with the car.  To me, if the car is getting gas and electricity to the plugs, then it must have jumped time.  I hope this helps,   Jason
