Ford Repair: Wheel Stud, cheater bar, wheel studs

Question
I have a 87 ford bronco and I have to change the wheel studs do I have to remove the entire axle, or can I change the wheel stud without removing the backing plate and axle?

Answer
Jonathan, you shouldn't have to pull the axle, in a manner of speaking.  You will have to pull the hub and rotor off.  You will probably need an impact or a long cheater bar to remove the spindle nut.  If you have any problems, let me know, and I will try to walk you through it.  I hope this answers you question,   Jason
