Ford Repair: F-100 Power steering pump, pulley puller, power steering pump

Question
I need to replace the pump on my 72 FL-100 which should be pretty much the same from late 60s to early 80s.  Is there any real problems that may come up?

Answer
Charles, this should be a pretty easy job.  The only thing that can get difficult is the pulley.  You will have to buy a power steering pump pulley puller from a parts store, or you can rent one.  Autozone rents the puller at a good price, and you get all your money back.  Other than that, I really can't think of anything else other than stripping the fitting that screws into the pump.  For the life of me I can't think of the name of the wrenches for fuel lines, but they would help from stripping the fitting.  If you have any problems during the job, feel free to ask.  I always try to answer questions as soon as I can.   Good luck,   Jason
