Ford Repair: 1996 WIndstar, leather steering wheel, steering wheel cover

I have grease on my steering wheel.  First I thought a cleaner I used ate up the leather steering wheel cover, but even after I wiped it, grease (very black)keeps showing up.  I don't know if it's from the steering column, steering wheel or cover.  But I doubt it's from the cover.

I'm concerned it's something dangerous.

Hi Mika thanks for asking.
There is no actual grease used in the steering coluum. Where exactly is this coming from? Are you sure this is grease you are seeing? Where are this grease marks exactly?
Get back to me with a little more info, and if possible take a picture and you can email me the pics.
