Ford Repair: ford escort heater, volt power source, blower motor resistor

Question
i have a 97 ford escort my heater gets hot but will not blow air out on any setting

Answer
HI Damion thanks for asking and sorry about the long delay i have been really busy. There are only a few componets that run the fan for the heater,--  Fan, Switch, blower motor resiston and necesary harness for grounds and powers. The first thing to do is remove the fan and test it by jumping it with a 12 volt power source, The fan is located by the floor behind the glove box, typically bolted in with 3 8mm bolts. If this is good remove the blower motor resistor and see if that is burnt out anywhere, it is usually noticible, the resitor is located very close to the fan and has a 4 wire plug. theses are bolted in with 2 8mm bolts. If that looks good remove the fan switch and test por powers going in and out of the switch, If you need further help on how to check any of these components just get back to me and ill be glad to help.
good luck
