Ford Repair: Heater, engine temp, luck chris

Question
I have a 2002 F150 and my heater just quit on me. The thermostat seems to be OK, as my engine temp gauge seems to be working fine.  The hoses coming out of the heater core are warming up, so I think that is working OK too.  No antifreeze leaking into the cab, or smell either  The
blower works fine, it just only blows cold air, and doesn't warm up.  Any ideas?  Thanks!

Answer
HI Mike thanks for asking. Sorry about the delay.
it sounds to me like the blend door in the air box is stuck closed. Two possible things are- The blend door is stuck or broke, the blend door actuator in inoperative. The blend door actuator is located very close to the heater core, remove the actuator and i believe with a 1/4 inch ratchet you can move the blend door. start the vehicle up and see if you have heat after moving it. If it seems to be hard to move the the air box is going to have to be removed for inspection of the blend door.
good luck
