Ford Repair: electical problem, powertrain control module, ford contour

I am having difficulty finding someone to repair the electrical problem that i am having with my 97 ford contour*** the airbag light,battery light and check engine lights are flashing...i repeat they are flashing uncontrollably... i have a mechanic tape the wires under the hood because they were exposed...he told me that i need a engine harnesss...what should i do?

this is a hard situation. Its hard for me to say anything without knowing what is going on under your hood. a problem like that would make me think that there is a problemwith the PCM (powertrain control module). this is the brain of everything that goes on with the electronics.  But I would get the opinion from a ford dealer first that is in your area. It will cost 1 hour of diagnostics.
