Ford Repair: 98 Exploder brakes, ford dealer, hi john

Question
My '98 Explorer has recently begun having a brake issue whereby after slowing down and almost to a stop, the anti-lock system activates. This results in sometimes greatly reduced stopping power. The sensor ring inside the hub appears to be in excellent shape. I have recently replaced the rotors. Pulling the ABS fuse stops the problem, but also takes away my speedometer. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance for you attention to this.

Answer
Hi John,
The problem started when you replaced the rotors!! Right??? The sensor rings aren't spaced right. Take them back and get another set or get MOTORCRAFT rotors from your FORD dealer and your problem will go away. After-market companies don't know how to put the sensor rings in the correct position!!! GOOD LUCK
