Ford Repair: Help!!, transfer case, relays

Question
When I turn my switch on the dash to engage 4 wheel drive (2h,4h,4l)
nothing happens at all. I stays in 2 wheel drive and I dont hear anything
at all. The 4x4 light on the dash doesnt come on, nothing. Because I
dont hear anything engaging, my guess is that its an electrical thing. I
cant find any documentation regarding the switch, relays or anything.
any help you could give me would really be appreciated. Thanks.

There is an electric motor on the back of the transfer case. It is responsible for locking the transfer in and out of 4WD.  Chances are it is frozen from not being used.  If your mechanically inclined you may be able to remove it and tear it apart, clean and lube it. reassemble and it may work again. Otherwise it needs replaced.
