Ford Repair: Instrument Lights on 200 Taurus, mechanical ability, instrument cluster

Question
Does anyone know how to replace the instrument cluster bulbs on a 2000 Taurus?  Mine have gradually been going out over the last couple of years, and now I am down to only one, and it is the one on the far right, so all I can see is the tach.

How long should it take someone with average mechanical ability?

Answer
Joe,

To replace the bulbs in your instrument cluster you must remove the cluster from the dash. Start by removing the outer trim panel then the cluster itself. The bulbs are held in by little sockets. Turn it 1/4 turn counter clockwise to remove them and replace the bulbs.  I would say an hour with average mechanical ability.

Good Luck!!
