Ford Repair: remote entry, power door locks, keyless entry

97` Escort 4dr sedan. PW/Pdr locks. I started this car and all 4 locks locked automatically. I took off home. I tried to lock the vehicle with remote and got nothing. not even will it unlock the trunk. Replaced batteries. No luck. Checked all fuses... Can u please help me?

Your power door locks were probably added on by a dealer or aftermarket company. Check under the dash for a black module that usually looks hastely installed or zip tied to other wires. Sometimes they are under the driver seat also. Next unplug it to see if your door locks work normally with the factory switches. If so then you probably have a defective keyless entry unit.
