Ford Repair: Temp Gauge, bob bob, hot zone

I have a 94 full size Bronco 5.0...when I start the truck the temp gauge goes right to the middle of the gauge, after riding for a while it goes all the way over to the right, the hot zone. The truck is not overheating, not losing any fluids. When it is shut off the gauge goes all the way to the left. Can you please help.

It sounds as if you have a bad gage in the dash. They make a special tool to test it. It varies the resistance causing the gage to read according to the amount of resistance applied.  If your good with electronics you can make one using a potentiometer. Otherwise I would buy a gage.
