Ford Repair: 1992 F150 ball joint removal, camber adjuster, air hammer

Question
I cannot get the upper ball joint to press out of the spindle.  I actually had the ball itself start to push out of the bottom of the ball joint.  I have saturated it with penetrating oil and heated it some to get the oil to penetrate.

Is there something I am missing?  I removed the C clip from the lower joint and did not find one on the upper joint as the bottom of it is flush with the bottom of the frame it sits in.  The camber adjuster came right out with no problem.  I am using what I would call a Real heavy duty C clamp (its a ball joint removal kit on loan from a local parts store)  I even put a pipe on the 1/2" breaker bar to get more torque to turn it to no avail.  I really need some help here.  I hope the bottom one will come out easier.

Answer
You may have to remove the steering knuckle and have the joint pressed out with a hydraulic press. I have had a couple where it was necessary to heat the knuckle to glowing to get the joint to move at all, but then you have a chance of ruining the integrity of the knuckle.
I also use an air hammer sometimes with a blunt tip to jar the rust loose.
