Ford Repair: Ford Taurus 2001, p0171 system too lean bank 1, air fuel mixture

Had a drive chip plugged in a couple of days and it came back with P0401 exhaust gas recirculation flow insufficient detected, P0171 system too lean(bank 1), P0174 system toolean(bank 2) Could you tell me what this means? Also a P1401. Thank you

Not sure what you mean by drive chip.

Code P0401 is most likely the DPFE sensor, check with your Ford dealer, there were a couple of recalls related to this code, you may still be covered.

The leans codes could be caused by several things. Vacuum leaks, lack of fuel pressure, incorrect air/fuel mixture due to a sensor problem, and plenty of others.

Just having the codes doesn't solve anything. There are three sets of possible codes, hard faults, memory codes, and engine running codes. Depending on which test your codes came up in, then I would diagnose from there.
