Ford Repair: 331 build, mass air meter, fuel management system

Question
hey Steve,
i finally found this site again. i wrote you a while back about building a 331 ford for my kit laborghini diablo project. alot has changed since the last time you gave me some great advice. when we last spoke i was looking to make 400hp, because of the weak Audi transaxle i had. well that gone and hello Porsche g50 which can handle around 650 to 700hp. i also went a bought a small twin turbo kit. i have a 331 bottom from dss, and a holley supermax efi top end kit. I'm also taking you advice and going with the fuel management system you recommended. my question now is what do you suggest for the other components. ex throttle body size mass air unit, injectors pretty much the set up you said you were running. i don't want to go super crazy. just a little crazy. let say 550hp. any help greatly appreciated.
thanks

Answer
John-

For the throttle body I'd go with a 75mm piece.  Turbos (especially twins) like to cram as much air as possible into an engine.  The nice thing about most aftermarket fuel injection kits is that they're speed density meaning you don't need a mass air meter.  The power you make will determine what injectors you need.  I'd say 42lb injectors will probably do, but you might have to go a little bigger.  I'd get ahold of a shop that you'd want to have tune your car once it's up and running and see what they have to say.  And even though the tuning software provided on most aftermarket injection kits is pretty easy to use with a little trial and error, I definitely suggest you have a shop that can dyno tune cars dial in the start-up tune.  Hope this helps.
