Ford Repair: 94 Ranger 4x4 Rotor Replacement, allexperts, rotors

I'm trying to replace the rotors and can't get them off.  There is a retaining nut holding the bearings and rotor on.  How do I get the retaining nut off?  If it requires a special tool, where can I get one?

Hi Chris,
It is very difficult to replace the rotors on these Rangers. You can get the special socket from most parts stores, but it might be more than if you had your mechanic replace them! It also has a small locking device that must be removed before the socket can be used. Get a small magnet and remove it. It must be reinserted the exact same way. Good Luck
