Ford Repair: Cabin heat not working, motor ford, ford expedition

Question
2002 Ford Expedition front heater not working.Water control probably jammed. Where is valve located  and what actuates it? Are these components behind firewall inside cabin?

Answer
There is no water valve on your vehicle. Temperature is controlled by the blend door, which is driven by an electric motor. Ford has had many problems in this area, including breaking of the door.

I am assuming you mean there is no heat, but blows cold air? The blend door is part of the heater case. The motor for the door is centered in the insturment panel, on the bottom of the heater box. It can be changed without removing the dash, but you do have to remove the restraints module so extra care is needed so as to not set off an airbag.
