Ford Repair: Interchanging v8 motor to v6, v8 motor, wiring harness

Question
The motor from a '93 thunderbird v6 3.8 liter will be placed into a '86 merc v8 5.0 liter.  We need to know if the computer will work in the '86 from the '93.

  Unfortunately you'll need a computer and wiring harness that matches the new engine.  While the parameters of each engine's computer aren't wildly different, they're different enough that they won't work on another engine.  Hope this helps.
