Ford Repair: Maybe it was Sabotage!?!, karo syrup, fuel rails

Hi - after I broke up with my boyfriend, my 1991 Ford Explorer was sabotaged with Karo syrup.  I know for sure that it was Karo because the accomplice "fessed up"  Now it won't even start!  There are so many products on the market that claim to flush out the system, I was wondering if I could impose on you to tell me which would be the best choice?  P.S. - I am a natural blonde! (big grin)

  For something like Karo syrup (I assume it was in the gas tank), no off the shelf cleaner is qualified to handle such heavy duty blockage.  You'll likely have to have a shop clean the fuel tank, replace the fuel lines, and clean and/or replace the injectors and fuel rails.  Off the shelf cleaners are designed more for gunk build up that occurs naturally...not full scale deliberate breakage.  Hope this helps.
