Ford Repair: 5.o swap to 5.0 HO, proccessor, old computer

Question
I have a 1990 Bronco and I swapped the engine to a 5.0 HO. Will it work using a 351W computer or do I need a HO computer? Its only running on 4 cylenders right now with the old computer.

Thanks, Ron

Answer
Ron-

Although there aren't many differences between the 5.0 motors and the 351W motors, you'll need a 5.0 computer.  People these days seem to be fond of the A9L computers (it's just a code indicating the year and options the original car came with), but really any 5.0 computer will work as long as you match up accessories.  Fir instance, if you've got A/C, power steering, and an automatic transmission, you'll be better off if you find a proccessor that came from a vehicle with similar characteristics.  Hope this helps.
