Ford Repair: mustang engine, switch to nissan enginge, nissan skyline gt, mustang engine

is it true that i can switch my mustang engine to a nissan engine? if so, please tell me what engine and performance will it give me. thanks.

  I assume you watched the new "The Fast And The Furious: Tokyo Drift" movie where they use an old Mustang with a Nissan SR20DETT motor (which is an underestimated 320hp stock...the engine in the movie had a single turbo conversion...definitely not stock)?  The truth is that, while almost anything is possible when it comes to engine swaps, that sort of swap would be pretty difficult to pull off without large amounts of money lying around.  The engines themselves are pretty hard to come by in the U.S. because they were used in the Nissan Skyline GT-Rs which were never sold here (some were imported privately, but they're rare).  Then you'd have to fabricate all of the mounting hardware and probably do some pretty serious front suspension work.  That's not to even mention all of the electrical nightmares.  So can it be done?  Yes.  Would I ever try it?  Not in a million years.
