Ford Repair: 1997 ford escort, gasoline fuel, diesel systems

diesel was instilled into the gasoline-operated vehicle by accident.  Won't start.  What will be required to fix this problem.

That creates some serious trouble for some parts in the fuel system. The tank will have to be cleaned well, and the lines, pump, filter, possibly injectors may have to be replaced.

Gasoline systems do not have the same resistance to diesel fuel that diesel systems have. The diesel will react negatively to most parts of a gasoline fuel system.
