Question -
I have a 1988 Ford LTD Crown Vic and I have hardly no brake pedal. Master cyl. is full can't pump them up .The right front wheel seems to grab when you apply the brakes. Can you give me some area to check. No other repairs have been done on this subject.
Answer -
You need to start by checking all the brakes, make sure the rears are adjusted correctly. A grabbing disc brake could be several things-sticking caliper, plugged or otherwise damaged brake hose, damaged brake line, loose wheel bearings. No brake pedal may require a new master cylinder, there could be an internal failure in the master.

Answer -
What is the problem you are having? Does the pedal go to the floor, or is it hard to push?

An easy test for the booster: Shut the engine off, depress the brake pedal until it is hard, 2-3 times. Keep your foot on the pedal and start the engine. You should feel the pedal go down just a little without pressure as the booster achieves vacuum. If not, then you may have a booster problem.

If you tell me what symptom you have, I can better advise you.

Answer
If you cannot find a leak, and the fluid level is not going down, I would replace the master cylinder. New is recommended; although rebuilts are available the quality is far from acceptable. The brake system will have to be bled of air afterwards, and the new cylinder should be bench-bled before installing.
