Ford Repair: Overhead computer wiring, side kick panel, interchange guides

Question
There was no wiring behind the headliner, that is why I bought the wiring harness and am running it down the pillar to the computer.  Bu I cant see where to plug it into the computer.  The wiring harness has ford plugs on both ends, but my computer does not seem to have a place to plug it in.  I want to figure out a way to hook it up.  If there is no plug, is there a way to cut the plug and splice into the proper wires?  Or is will the comptuer simply not support the overhead console?

I have an 01 F250 Diesel Crew Cab 4x4 short bed XLT.  I did NOT have an overhead console computer.  I BOUGHT an overhead console out of an 02 F250 Diesel to install.  Its Part Number is: 2C3T10D898AC.  I bought a wiring Harness to hook it up.  Its part number is 1C3Z17C710AA.  It plugs into the console computer with no problem.  My problem is that I cant find out where to plug the other end of the wiring harness into my truck computer/fuse box.  My computer has a part number of 1C3T14A067AB.

Am I missing something?  Does my computer not have the correct input to accept the plug?  Does my computer not have an input at all?  Will this thing work at all?

I can't help you with the part numbers, sorry. Chances are that if your truck did not come with an overhead console then there are no hookups for it. The wiring would be behind the headliner, probably somewhere near one of the visors. How much wire harness came with the console you bought? You might be able to judge how far that wiring reaches and then check those areas for connectors.

Some wrecking yards have interchange guides that tell them which parts will fit what years and models.

Answer
The connector, according to Ford, is in the right side kick panel area. Hope you can find it there. There are so many wires from that module that go all over it would almost be ridiculous to try to wire it yourself.
So I was wrong about the connector location, I should have looked it up first! Took me a few minutes to find, but I hope you have better luck finding it on your truck;
let me know how it goes.
