Ford Repair: electrical DOOR AJAR Ford Expedition, tailgate area, vehicle id number

Hi there,
I own a 2003 Ford Expedition.  When the weather is real cool or cold the Door AJAR warning works properly.  When the weather warms up or gets hot, the DOOR AJAR will light up.  All doors are shut, but the cab lights will remain on for a longer period than if it worked properly.  When we park and turn off the vehicle, cab lights will stay on for at least 30 minutes (Vehicle thinks a door is open).  The local repair shops can't find the problem.  Can you help me?

Ford had a lot of problems with the door ajar switches. You should be able to hook a scanner up and watch the switches to see which one is sticking. May even be codes stored in that system. I can check for updates from Ford if you send me the vehicle id number,if you want. I have seen quite a few that had problems in the tailgate area too.
