Ford Repair: front end noise, drive shaft, noise source

Question
1995 ford explorer. recently been in a front end collision with just grill & bumper damage. truck has been developing a thumping noise in the right front of the truck. Had the hub checked, it was fine. had the pinion bearing in the front diff changed. Had the drive shaft dropped down and road tested, vehicle still making noise, Tires have been rotated. My mechanic is stumped. Vehicle has 190k on it.

Answer
Noises are very hard to diagnose, especially without hearing the noise. sounds like you have checked most of the items. Did you have this noise before the accident or only after? Has the tech run it on a lift to try and id the noise location? Find a shop with a tool called Chassis Ears, it has sensors that can be placed in different areas to try and pin down the noise source.
