Ford Repair: Ford Explore , side mirror, adjustable mirror, side mirror

Question
hello, I recently got a 2000 Ford Explore XLS from a private seller. One of the side mirrors is missing( not the whole thing, just a mirror, the black frame thing is still there)
do u know how much it costs to replace it?
which would it be cheaper, Ford? or just a regular body shop?
thx

It's actually more than most people expect.  Most of the time (especially with newer cars), they have to replace the mirror and the motor assembly if it's an adjustable mirror.  If you were to buy it yourself you could expect to pay around $90 for the assembly (maybe more if it's heated).  At a shop you should expect to pay a mark up on the parts so I'd say it'll probably run you somewhere around $200 or so...maybe a little more but certainly not a whole lot more than that with labor.  Hope this helps.
