It is a 3.0L flex fuel, with a 4 speed trans.

Hey Erik,
I got a 01 Taurus with the code: P0460 Fuel Sensor "A". I've checked it out and that appears to need a new sending unit. He's been driving it till he gets the extra money for it.
Now it has a code: P0401 Exhaust gas recirculation flow insufficient detected. Are these items related or is this a separate issue and what would be the main cause of it.

I would start with the simple things.....does the engine need a tune up?
Also, I would have the gas cap tested for failure, and make sure it is seated/clicked correctly.
code P0460 is an EVAP code.....for the fuel vapor venting system.
code p0401 is the EGR code.
