Ford Repair: 1997 Ford Ranger 4.0 oil in the radiator, upper radiator hose, head gasket

Question
Hello Erik,
We have a 1997 Ford Ranger pick up, that i blew a radiator hose while entering our driveway,

*please note the truck did not overheat,

after i repaired the upper radiator hose i checked the coolent bottle and radiator, and noticed the colour of the coolent was a "Medium Tan milky colour it seemed like oil in the coolent,

i took the truck in to have the coolent system "flushed they thought it was just sediment from the radiator, it was definitaly seemed like oil,but in a couple of days the oil colour returned?,

the truck runs fine, no "bubbles in the radiator looking for a possible head gasket no signs of coolent in the oil pan or the Automatic transmission, just oil entering the cooling system?

we do not want to drive the truck very far at all for fear of possibly overheating or causing a further ploblem,

my only quess would be possible a leaking transmission chamber in the radiator?
or a waterpump? or gasket in the engine somewhere that has an ajoining coolent passage?

no one in our (small)town seems to have an idea
it is my Son's truck that he uses to travel back and forth to School,

i am truly hoping you have come across this before in you expertise,

May i say this is a great service you offer and thank you very much in advance for any help Erik,
Sparky

Answer
Hello and thanks for the question...I'll try to help.
Have you checked the engine oil? Have you checked the transmission fluid? Please do so. If the transmission has coolant in it.....it will need an overhaul shortly. If the engine oil has coolant in it you need to locate the leak and repair it.
