Ford Repair: wont stay started, system faults, foot on the gas

Question
I have a 2000 Explorer (V6-Auto) that turns over but will not stay started (idles roughly then dies). If you keep your foot on the gas it will eventually stay started. I had a P1507 (Idle Air Control System under Speed Error)read, but no one knows how to repair it. I also have a 2001 Ranger (4Cyl-Std.) that does the same thing on occasion, but no check engine code has popped up yet. Any suggestions?

Answer
Hello and thanks for the question...I'll try to help.
There are a few things I would suggest you check:
1. Over all engine tune up.
2. Fuel pressure
3. Computer system faults -----you've done that.....NOW you need to find a mechanic that can fix the problem correctly.
