Ford Repair: my car, large ford, 18 wheelers

Question
I know you said your not familiar with the larger Fords but I think this a problem that can occur in any car. I have a 1998 Ford Explorer, and it would not start as of last night. It will turn over and sound like it wants to start but will not. We have replaced the battery but it did not help. I believe it may have something to do with the fuel system. Before the car broke down, it would jerk and studder really bad while excellerating. I had the oil changed two weeks ago and they said everything under the hood looked good but made a comment on having the fuel system cleaned. Please help me I'm desperate.....megan

Answer
Hello and thanks for the question...I'll try to help.
What I mean by large Ford's is 18 wheelers, and LARGE equipment.
As far as your problem.........
you need to check for fuel pressure. Simple as that. Cleaning won't help if the fuel pump is bad.
