1992 ford explorer xlt v6 auto

my driver and passenger side windows have stopped working (will not go back up)the windows will go down but i can't get them to go back up

at 1st they we're sticking i would have to hit the up button several times before they went up a couple of days later i would have to hit the up button for several minutes before they went up a couple of days later after that they wouldn't go back up until a day went by and i chk'd to see if they would go backup ,now they won't go up at all

i have chk'd some site for window motors (expensive to replace 2 motors) any help would be appreciated

Hello and thanks for the question...I'll try to help.
I would suggest that you check the wires that go from the body of the vehicle to the drivers door. There is a rubber boot, and if you are able to pull it back, I think you'll find a few broken/split wires.
