Ford Repair: Engine Swap, bronco 4x4, ford bronco

Question
Hello,
I have a 1991 Ford Bronco 4x4 with a 5.0L EFI engine with an AOD or E40D automatic transmission with overdrive.  Is it possible to replace the 5.0L with a 4.6L?  If so would I also need to replace the transmission or does the 4.6L have the same bolt pattern as the 5.0L?  What else would I need to look for in swapping the engine?  Also, if the 4.6L won't work is it feasible to replace the 5.0 with the 5.0L OHC?

Thank you for your help.
Roger

Answer
Hello and thanks for the question...I'll try to help.
It's not worth your time, money, or frustration to attempt it. EVERYTHING needs to be replaced......wiring, exhaust, radiator, ECM and sensors, grounds, transmission (not the same bolt pattern)......I would suggest you stick with what's in the truck.
