Ford Repair: Ford bronco II motor change, ford bronco ii, radiator hoses

Question
I have a 89 Bronco II 2 whell drive, with 2.9 liter engine with 4 speed manual. I would like to change out to a 4.0. I heard a 91 explorer 4.0 with the wiring harness would be no problem, what would you recommend? Any advice would be appreciated
Thanks Ron

Answer
Hello and thanks for the question...I'll try to help.
I would seriously suggest that you keep what you have in there. You're going to have to change over a lot more than just the engine and wiring....exhaust, drive belt system (alternator, AC, PS), Radiator, hoses, battery cables, and ALL sensors and grounds.
IF you have the time and money--it's NOT impossible, but a little more than a back yard mechanic is use to.
