Ford Repair: Ford Taurus 2000, ford taurus, transmission level

Question
Recently my 2000 Ford Taurus started to shutter in reverse. It has leaked some fluid in the past around the housing. I have brought the transmission level up to normal, however I fear it may be time to replace the transmission. It currently has 90,000 miles on it. What do you think?

Hello and thanks for the question...I'll try to help.
With out seeing the vehicle and doing a diagnostic routine check on it........I can't and won't say IF it should or needs to be replaced. I would suggest that you bring it to a transmission shop and have them look at it.
