My electric windows froze open.  I removed the door panels to put 12V to the motors and close the windows so I assume the problem is in the wiring. The wiring was replaced under warranty on a previous repair.  However, if I replace the wiring, how to I know that the problem is not due to excess amperage draw?  If it is, shouldn't the fuses/ relays restrict the excess draw?  Finally, what would cause the high amp draw?

Hello and thanks for the question...I'll try to help.
High amp draw can be cause by several things.... bad ground, bad motor, bad wiring in general. I wouldn't assume that the wiring is bad in the vehicle. I would have the dealership that replaced the wiring look at it and repair it.
