Ford Repair: 4wd flashing lights, case drain, surface streets

Question
yesterday, for no apparent reason the 4WDHI and
4WDLO lights started intermittently flashing on my 2000 Ford Explorer.  Has never happened before and the 4wd is virtually never used.
My wife was driving and said when she parked she saw fluid dripping near the rear of the passenger front wheel.  By the time I arrived an hour later, the fluid had evaporated.  I checked the coolant overflow tank and there is fluid in it.
Maybe the 2 are not related?  I am wondering if this is a sensor gone bad or if it is something that needs to be immediately repaired or can it wait a few days?  I drove the car home and it was fine except for the lites flashing 6 times, going off, then a couple of minutes later repeating the pattern. The car is only driven a few miles daily on surface streets.  I hate the thought of going to a dealer without having a clue what the problem is.  Can you offer any info?

Answer
Hello and thanks for the question...I'll try to help.
I think the fluid your wife saw was water coming from the evaporator case drain....this is normal, if the AC was being used. As far as the 4x4 lights flashing, have it checked out at a garage/dealership.
