Ford Repair: battery cables, guage wire, battery cables

my negative cable to my 1994 ford explore is grounded in two places. at eng. side and at frame.what will happen if i ground it only at the frame. also, can i use regular cables inplace of the manufacture's. 4.0l;4x4;6cylinder;automatic. and is the original cables a 4 guage wire or another.

Hello and thanks for the question...I'll try to help.
Your vehicle won't run.......the ground connection at the fender is for the computer system. Removing this will cause an open and a failure in the computer system. Also, IF it does run, it will run poorly, at best.
