Ford Repair: engine light, ford ranger pickup, purge valve

1997 Ford Ranger Pickup -engine light has been on for a while.  A ford dealer ran a diagnostic test and told me I need to to replace the purge valve and the dpfe sensor.  He is going to charge $400

Is that reasonable or should I get another price quote?

i would go to autozone or advance auto and have them put your truck on a scan tool,and see what they say. it will cost nothing to do this and you have a second opinion. the price is a little high depending where you live, higher in ny or likr areas. hope this helps.
