Ford Repair: truck not starting, oxygen sensor, ford ranger

Question
I have a 1994 ford ranger, it's a 4 cyclinder with 8 plugs.  was driving it came to a round to the stop sign and it quit running, it started back up ran for 2 weeks and did it again.  Thought it was the fuel pump, replaced it, the switch under the dash, oxygen sensor, throttle sensor, plugs and still can't get it to run.  it rolls over but won't start.  Could this be the brain, if so would you know where i could get the right one at.  thank you, linda

Answer
Hello and thanks for the question...I'll try to help.
Before we go nuts and just start replacing parts....just to replace them in hopes of a cure......let's do some checking first.
Go through this list and verify:
1. fuel pressure
2. ignition...check for spark
3. timing belt....make sure it didn't snap or loose any teeth.
4. check the computer system for fault codes.
Hope this helps,
Erik
