Question
i have a 1994 ford thunderbird,4.8 ohc w/ auto, approx. 250,000. was running the ac car was running great. turned off at the store and then on again when car started to run ruff. now it is dripping gas from the tailpipes and blowing white smoke.  also using alot of fuel. please help as to where to start. thanks ps recently replaced oil filter gasket and oilpressure sending unit.

Answer
Hello and thanks for the question...I'll try to help.
It sounds like the cylinder head gasket is blown. Check the coolant level and also check the fuel pressure regulator......to make sure that isn't blown. Remove the vacuum line and turn the ignition key to run......see if fuel pumps up through the vacuum nipple.
Hope this helps,
Erik
