Ford Repair: Starting Problem 72 Bronco, engine cranks, auto parts store

Question
Hi, I have a problem with my 72 Bronco, 302, 3 speed, 2V. I took the thing apart and cleaned and repainted the firewall and top of engine. Rebuilt the carb and put it back together. Now it won't start. I have no spark to the coil, points or plugs. The engine cranks over good but won't fire. I did not take much apart. I did not remove the distribitor. The only wire I removed was the positive side of the coil. It fired and ran before I cleaned it up. I dried the dist. cap and points, but it's like it has no juice to there. All the wires are reconnected. I have no spark out of the coil. I did not unplug any connections to the firewall. I have scraped the paint off on all the ground connections to insure it's grounded. The ignition switch seems ok. How do you check to see if juice is getting to the coil? Could the coil have gone bad just by removing it? Any idea where I should start? I'm sure it's something simple, but I can't figure it out and I'm frustrated!
Thanks in advance for your help, Keith

i would double check all of the connections.check the wire coming out of the dist.also check the wires coming from the ignition module, which is located on the fender apron on drivers side under the hood.your coil could have very easily went bad,if you banged it or dropped it.i deal in many old cars most are mustangs, which have the same setup.you can buy a spark checker at your local auto parts store like advance or autozone, they are about 10 bucks and worth having.if you need a new coil take your old one with you as most places try to sell you one for electronic ingition which will fry your whole system.hope this helps.
