Question
1995 Ford Explorer XLT 2wd
New Compressor w/Pull-Clutch, Accumulator/Dryer (didn't replace sensor), Screen/Filter.
Flushed lines till clear.
System will pull and hold vac.
Clutch engages at 50 psi on low preasure side, but once engaged preasure drops to 20-25 psi and clutch dis-engages.  Preasure builds up with-in a few seconds to 50 psi and starts the process over.

What should the preasure reading on the low side be when clutch is engaged and compressor running?

Answer
Hello and thanks for the question...I'll try to help.
That is the correct pressure......and if you look at the high side gauge...you'll notice that it elevates when the clutch is engaged. Does the system cool properly? If it did and you filled it with the correct amount of R-134 you should be all set.
Hope this helps,
Erik
