Ford Repair: compatibility of a 93 and 94 taurus, ford taurus gl, ford taurus lx

I put a 3.8 engine that came out of a 94 ford taurus GL into the body of a 93 ford taurus LX that had a 3.0 engine in it. I was told to put the computer box and the wiring harness from the 94 taurus into the 93 taurus. Is this type of changeover possible between these two cars? After putting in the engine and the two harnesses and computer box, the check engine light doesnt light up when in the run position on the ignition switch and the fuel pump doesnt energize when the ignition switch is put in the run position. Thanks for any help you can give me.

Hello and thanks for the question...I'll try to help.
Time to start with the basics. I would first check out the computer system with a scan tool. As far as the fuel system goes, It very well can be a failure from the computer. Start with the computer check and let me know what happens.
