Ford Repair: electrical, mercury grand marquis, big rig trucks

Question
I own a 96 Mercury Grand Marquis, 4.6L, it has a digital instrument panel.  While driving the other day, the radio went out, the instrument panel went dark, and the climate control a/c shut down, but would work manually.  When i got home i noticed that all interior light did not work and the elect. door lock would not work when pushing buttons on the door panel (they do work with the keyless entry).  What could be wrong?  I understand that you don't know about large models but I thought that other Ford products may have the same problem.

When I said I don't know about larger models I meant the semi-or big rig trucks, the F550 and up. The car models are all fine to deal with. Try checking the fuses and if one is found to be bad, replace it. If one isn't I would take it to a dealership and have the GEM (generic electronic module) check out.
