Ford Repair: 65 mustang radio, ford mustang, main bearing

Question
I have a 1965 Ford mustang with a 289, 4bbl. It's a four speed standard, with the original trans.
I have two questions for you:
1. When I drive, there seems to be a whining noise coming from either the front or rear transmission, but I have no idea what could be causing it, so I just need some suggestions as to what might be making that sound.
2. The wiring for the original radio was messed with before I owned it, so I need to know how to hook it back up and get power to it. I don't have a wiring diagram to help me.

Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks.

Answer
Hello and thanks for the question...I'll try to help.
As far as the transmission noise goes.......I would look to either the front or rear main bearing.
As far as the radio....I can't help with that....your car is older than I am. Get a test light and check for power and ground.
