Ford Repair: check eng light, crown vic, pluged


Question
I have a 1990 crown vic with a 302 eng. the car had the pc valve and screen pluged solid was blowing oil . had a diagnostiac stated oil in fuel injt system can a pluged screen cause this i heard it can . but would like a expert answer light is still on but it might take some time to get the oil out of the engt system waiting for your answer .

Hello and thanks for the question...I'll try to help.
Oil in your fuel system? Or oil clogging the PCV valve screen? Oil in your fuel won't cause a check engine light..........unless the mixture it about 1-2 gallons of oil to a tank of gas. As far as the screen goes...........it does get clogged. It is going to. That is where the oil is and it gets carboned up.
