Ford Repair: 7.3 litre smoke, ford diesel, glow plugs

Hello Eric.

I have a 7.3 liter f-250 2002 ford diesel that recently stated blowing blue exhaust for about 5 minutes after start-up then stops.  It has 114,000 mile on it.  Any thoughts.

Hello and thanks for the question...I'll try to help.
 If it is blue...it's either oil or running slightly rich. What you might want to try is replacing the glow plugs. It might not be firing off all of the fuel in the cylinders on start up.
